RHC Meeting Minutes

1. Call to Order.

2. Role Call: Jim B., Marty, Davis, Chris H, Chris B, Mike, Greg, Cassia

3. Minutes from Previous Meeting: Approved.

4. Treasurers Report. No Report.

5. New Business. No new business.

6. Discussion about BLM fire mitigation: Greg will research why the areas that were selected were selected. Burn to take place next summer.

7. Report on Trail Reroute.

• Greg ran this concept across BLM and comments were made about maintaining different levels of difficulty between the main ways up Red Hill – 3 Gulch & Blue Ribbon/3 Poles.

• Mike discussed reroute.

• Value of trail consolidation discussed.

• Route is flagged. Everyone is encouraged to hike reroute to get a feel and make comments. Route is flagged and numbered from 50 down to 1 (heading uphill).

• Greg will hike reroute and GPS into BLM map.

• Davis will email GPS to everyone.

8. Update on Land Exchange. Chris will be writing a letter from Carbondale Park and Rec Board.

9. RAC, RMP Data: No meeting has occurred since March. Chris got a letter from Steve Bennett, saying that things are picking up again – December 14th. Chris will forward letter. RHC needs to weigh in soon. RHC may want to weigh in on Fisher Creek. Chris to review RMP materials and Cherry pick items that we should be concerned with. Chris: RH should generate a letter that comments our stance towards the various parcels that are being studied. January 19th is the deadline for comments.

10. Holiday party logistics. Party at Sharon’s. Share by email what you plan on bringing.

11. Council Comments/Other Business. None.
